We are looking for a candidate to join our client in Cologne and the surrounding area as soon as possible, either on a permanent basis or on a temporary basis, to fill the role of
ACCOUNTANT (M/F/D).

WHEN DOES IT START?

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Responsibility for day-to-day financial accounting, including the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed asset accounting
- Monitoring and processing of payment transactions
- Clarification of accounting matters and coordination with tax advisers and auditors
- Preparation of advance VAT returns and other statutory returns
- Optimisation and further development of accounting processes
- Support for internal and external audits
THIS IS WHAT WE HOPE YOU WILL DO.
- Completed commercial training with further training as a chartered accountant (IHK) or equivalent qualification
- Several years’ professional experience in financial and general ledger accounting
- Excellent knowledge of commercial law (HGB); knowledge of IFRS would be an advantage
- Experience in using accounting software (e.g. SAP, SAP Business One, Datev)
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Analytical mindset, structured and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
