MEDICAL CONTROLLER / CLINICAL CODING SPECIALIST (M/F/D).

The consulting team for operational medical controlling is responsible for primary coding of inpatient treatment cases throughout Germany in various specialist departments in the areas of DRG and PEPP, as well as processing MDK enquiries and carrying out coding revisions. We would like to strengthen our team throughout Germany and are looking for a Medical Controller / Clinical Coding Specialist (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.

• Participation in case-related coding
• DRG optimisation (checking coding for completeness, correctness and plausibility, recording and checking additional fees and NUBs)
• Independent coding (ICD and OPS) based on primary documentation, in accordance with applicable coding guidelines
• Support for case reviews by the MDK

• Completed medical training
• Completed training as a coding specialist (m/f/d)
• At least five years’ professional experience in coding inpatient cases in hospitals
• Structured approach
• Passion for medical controlling
• Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn
• Affinity for software products, especially HIS systems, and good IT skills
• High willingness to travel
